Congresswoman Omar fights every day for middle class Americans, Trump and the GOP clearly do not. Trump’s racism has caused him to attack her in the most outrageous ways, like he does, here, in this post.
Ilhan Omar is working to improve our country, while Trump and the GOP are attacking our economic system with crazy tariffs, they are embarrassing our country with displays of cruelty as they deport Migrants similar to Christy Noem’s level of cruelty when she shot her dog and goat and then bragged about it in her book.
Ilhan Omar is never cruel. She was raised in Somalia during the civil war and as a little girl would hide under her bed and wait for the bullets to stop. She spend most of her early years living in a refugee camp where she learned a keen sense of empathy for others, which she puts to important use in Congress.
Ilhan – and her family – is clearly the most abused member of Congress in my lifetime.
Donald Trump’s racism causes him to instinctively attack Ilhan Omar because he believes her Hijab makes her vulnerable to other racists’ attack.
But Ilhan Omar is such an amazing public servant and leader most people who know her best, especially those in her district up close, are impenetrable to the lies, distortions, and racist triggers Trump and the GOP members of the House and Senate use to try to distort Ilhan Omar.
Ilhan Omar is one of the best and most compelling cases of an immigrant who has utilized and then returns those gifs she has been given in the US right back into her community and our country.
I love Ilhan Omar. She is a leader. She is competent. She is fearless. She is unflappable. Ilhan Omar has more courage than the whole GOP members of the House put together.
Democrats can hold Ilhan Omar up very high for a wonderful member of our Country who has made and is making improvements that Trump and members of the GOP simply don’t have the leadership skills to produce successfully like Ilhan does.
The GOP and Trump can attack Ilhan Omar. But they don’t have the skill set to get an advantage from their hate. Ilhan Omar’s skill set is just too obvious for them to distort.
Like Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar shall be defended here with every ounce of energy we have. The Squad is our highest priority.
Attacking them is never free, and shall be very expensive – just as expensive as we can make it.
